Treago Cottages' unique feature is the availability of the swimming pool. This 30ft indoor heated swimming pool is open all year round from 10.00am to 7.00pm. There are changing rooms, shower and wc inside.
These cottages are excellent for reunions of families and friends who want to get together for a special occasion, yet want the benefit of separate accommodation. The large sitting / dining room in Looseboxes can be used for shared meals. The Coach House links internally to both Looseboxes and Hollyhock House.
The five acres of shared grounds, which include an arboretum with many unusual trees and shrubs, give plenty of places to explore up the hill behind the cottages. BBQ's and garden furniture are provided in summer. Looseboxes has its own small fenced garden.
The Victorian walled garden grows wine and vegetables. Wine tastings can usually be arranged to experience the delight of English wines-red, white and bubbly, and of course they are available for purchase.
The fortified fifteenth century house has always belonged to the Mynors family and contains many interesting pictures. Tours are sometime possible by arrangement. A charge is made. The family live on site to provide support if necessary.
